Japan: First Time to Kobe // 第一次来到了神户

Sunday was beach day! Yuna and I adventured to South Japan to another city called Kobe to check out the outlets and enjoy the beach. Maybe you’ve heard of Kobe beef? Well – it originated from here!

We didn’t enjoy any Kobe beef but we did have an amazing Osaka pancake. I just can’t express how much I love these. This one is composed of cabbage and vegetables, noodles, shrimp and squid – smothered in yummy yummy sauce. Cooked and crisped to perfection on the stove top.

Truthfully, I was ready to shop till we dropped, but I only ended up buying one dress! That was alright though, because the best time we spent in Kobe was down by the beach.

If it was painted red, I swear it would look just like the Golden Gate. The beach may not look like much compared to the East coast’s long sandy beaches, but when you’ve been stuck in a concrete jungle for months on end, this place felt magical. Really.

We got back to Osaka pretty late but enjoyed dontonbori until the very last moment and just barely caught the last train home. Successful trip yet again! Already dreaming about exploring Tokyo and northern Japan someday…
